videos were on youtube, caused international outcry, seems they have identified two of the soldiers so far.

who knows what buddies those guys have lost to the taliban though eh? I think its still over the top though, youre there to do your duty, not abuse corpses.

God only knows how many lives this may cost in retaliation. down

Of course this comes out right when my sister gets contacted to go work over there.

I was listening to a program on NPR or PRI about this topic. One soldier called in and said....other countries can drag American Soldiers bodies all over and hang their burning corpses for all to see and they get upset because a few of their soldiers were pissed on?

Stupid caller. That wasn't the point.
We are suppose to hold ourselves above all of that.

I hope sis will be ok, I will be thinking of her, those islamic killers have executed some british citizens and on film too, some of my mates have actually watched the executions on you tube, I could never do so, the though of somone pleading for their life then seeing them decapitated just makes me want to weep, so I guess pissing on dead enemies aint so bad in comparison but we're all supposed to be there to bring democracy, not barbarism.

When she was in Iraq....the Middle Eastern people she got to know all told her she would be protected where ever she went. They were all fascinated with her being Native American. They only have read about us.....never actually met one.

Didnt really make me feel any better.

But I cant watch stuff like that either. I don't know if I am ready to have my whole mindset change....because that is possible right?

people who are not critical thinkers are easily led, as was proven by stanley Milgram way back in the day

a wee google on the Milgram experiment on obedience to authority figures
would make anyone think twice about why they believe what they believe and from whom

I studied that experiment last year and it just blew my mind how people will do things they disagree with. Very interesting.

I wonder what goes on overseas that the press does NOT get a hold of. One certainly has to buy into the propoganda to do that job.

Its a shame i think,, once they are dead they should be left alone really. I mean they are fighting for their cause the same as the Americans fighting for their cause if you know what i mean.

....or worse! Siberian cossacks in WW2 used to cut off "parts" that ensured the 'master race' would not grow.........

My sister decided to hold off for a while before making a decision on going to Afghanistan. She was made a few more offers to a few other countries and is going to just chill with my parents for a few months before deciding.

She had her knife sharpened and ready to go too. wink
